As the previous year’s MAHAK joins the Union for International Cancer Control (UICC) global campaign to raise public awareness about childhood cancer and the importance of early detection of the disease. Since early diagnosis of childhood cancer leads to less painful, less expensive, and more effective treatment.
Accordingly, this year, World Cancer Week campaign was held under the theme of “CLOSE THE CARE GAP” to identify diagnostic, treatment and support services gaps, to provide integrated access to these services for all children with cancer.
In this vein, “Tehrun Running Club" which tries to draw public attention to protecting the health and the importance of doing sports by educating citizens by holding running programs at the national and international levels, joined this campaign with its runners. The members of this running group in their 10 km route, attached the campaign logo to their clothes in order to raise public awareness about cancer.
